Jordan Levi Jacobs, known to those who loved him as JJ, passed away on June 11, 2026, at the age of 31. Born on September 2, 1994, in Pensacola, Florida, Jordan had made his home in Lawrence, Kansas, where he built a life full of music, laughter, and genuine connection.
Jordan graduated from the University of Kansas in 2020 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a field that suited someone with his natural warmth and deep care for others. Jordan was pursing his Master's in Psychology from Arizona State University, which he was very proud of.
A lifelong musician, he was the kind of person who could pick up just about any instrument and make it sing. He played drums, guitar, and keyboard, and he poured his creative energy into writing electronic dance music that reflected his vibrant personality. When he wasn't making music, you could find him watching anime or gaming with friends. You can find Jordan's original tracks here on SoundCloud.
Those who knew JJ knew a guy with a teddy bear heart and a sharp sense of humor, cracking jokes about his disability, his most recent radiation treatment or his lack of mobility. He made uncomfortable situations funny, and everyone in his audience laughed. Along with his comedy, his honesty was one of the things people will never forget. He was genuine to his core, and people felt it.
Jordan is survived by his loving parents, Bradley and Nicole Jacobs and his brother and sister-in-law, Isaac and Alena Jacobs, who meant the world to him.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on June 27th at Wallula Christian Church in Leavenworth, Kansas. Honorary pallbearers are his brother Isaac Jacobs, Uncle Darrin Jacobs, Papa-D Duane Streit, Walter Clark, David Freeman and Phillip Parsons. Jordan's family takes comfort in knowing he is finally at peace and suffers no more.

Jordan's kind heart and sense of humor touched many lives. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
