Every great Christmas story is about coming home, at least in one way or another. The very first Christmas was all about coming home as well. Mary and Joseph had to return to their ancestral home in order to pay taxes, but they were really returning home to fulfill what the Old Testament prophets said about the birthplace of the Messiah! They were really returning home because God kept His word to make a way for each of us to return home.
