Blessings is one of those church words that is really pretty confusing. When we call God “blessed,” we mean that He is honored, that we should speak well of Him. When we talk about how God has blessed us, we generally think of the benefits He bestows on us. We are blessed when we are healthy and wealthy, and wise. But there are times when Jesus blessed people and even things when He isn’t giving us some benefit, but He is setting us apart for some important purpose. Count your blessings indeed!
